On May 7th 2008, 7PM at The Echelon Club rolled out the red carpet for special celebrity guests, benefiting “Keeping Harmony Alive” dedicated to saving the music programs in public schools located in the most impoverished areas of Los Angeles. The array of celebrity guests include: Quincy Jones, Dave Stewart from the Eurythmics, this year’s Grammy moment winner Ann Marie Calhoun, and many high profile attendees from multiple industries. Our highlight of the evening features a special guest musical performance by various artists.

The Echelon Club is a private membership organization comprised of prominent figures in the art, fashion, music, media and business professions from across the globe. Members of our Advisory Board include: Count Maximillian Von Bismark, Lord Markus Jerger, Count Michel Soyer, Director Chuck Russel, Christian Wolffer, Alan Judd and Rudy Kurniawan. Honorary members include Quincy Jones, Oliver Stone, Robert Vinson and many more. Our goal is to unite our influential members through unique and cultivated events, throughout the year, that raise awareness and funds for numerous deserving charities. Some of our beneficiaries include: Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Unite Moroccan Fund, The Duchess of York (Sarah Ferguson Foundation), and Brave Kids Foundation just to name a few.

Celebrities support The Echelon Club’s “Keeping Harmony Alive” by helping to sustain music programs in the inner city schools.

Kimberly Moore, founder of The Echelon Club has formed another successful campaign called “Keeping Harmony Alive” which progressed from her Adopt-A-Letter program this past holiday season. “Keeping Harmony Alive” was inspired by a 16 year old girl from Bell Gardens H.S. named Grissel, who was deeply impacted by the generosity of Ms. Moore and reached out to her as a role model and inspiration in making a difference to her community. When Grissel found out her school’s music program was about to be cancelled due to lack of funding, Grissel immediately turned to the Echelon Club for help.

With only two weeks notice, Ms. Moore put together the “Keeping Harmony Alive” campaign. With the support of Echelon Club members, celebrities and top music industry professionals, the campaign came to fruition with a spectacular night of live performances by Dave Stewart’s new artist, Cindy Gomez, this year’s Grammy moment winner Ann Marie Calhoun and 17 year old prodigy pianist, Mario Max Granville of Bell Gardens High School. The event was a great success when numerous instruments were donated to help keep Bell Garden High School’s music programs intact.

“Music is a magical gift, says Ms. Moore. “It is the eight wonder of the world and lifts and changes our mood, thoughts and feelings. For some of these children it is their lives, their instruments are their best friend. If we take this away, some of these children will be devastated. These music programs are so beneficial for children and it has been proven that youngsters who study music become more goal orientated, self disciplined, developing a higher intelligence, better self confidence, success in society, life and much more. Although I can not help all the schools at once, but if we can just help one, this would truly help in enriching the lives of thousands of children in the years to come.”

The Echelon Club is a high-profile membership organization, with gatherings taking place every other month, dedicated to bringing influential people from around the world to make a difference.

The Echelon Club will allow the dropping off and storage of any new or used instruments for the children of Bell Gardens High School until June 3, 2008.
